Phi Phi The Beach Resort is one of the pioneer hotels in the island.

How to get there

First, you need to get to Phi Phi Island and the shortest trip is from Or-Bor-Jor pier (ท่าเรืออ่าวฉลอง) if you are in Phuket or Klong Jilard pier if you are in Krabi (30 mn ride from Aonang Beach). Many agencies will sell you a package with the transfer by minibus and their prices are all similar).

When you arrive at Koh Phi Phi (Tonsai Pier) the hotel staff has arranged a taxi boat and will pick you up for a 10 mn cruise as the resort is located at Shark Point on Long Beach and there’s no access by land.

Phi Phi The Beach Resort: The Accommodation

Hillside Villa overlooking Phi Phi Ley Island, simply designed in a local wooden style, the resort is a bit old but you forget quickly about it with the exceptional view from your terrasse.

This is one of the best locations to catch beautiful sunsets. (video below)

The Facilities

The resort offers diving, excursions (we went with one of their private boats on Ko Phi Phi Leh), massage, and cooking classes. You can also kayaking, snorkeling, sharks spotting (only a few hundred meters from their shore but I couldn’t spot any that time swimming around Shark point for about an hour)

The Food

The breakfast buffet is quite simple but with various Western and Thai dishes.

We eat 3 times at their restaurant but the menu is very limited (probably due to covid low season) and you quickly need some other food. The taste was just ok, so we tried to find other restaurants walking around Long Beach.

Phi Phi The Beach Resort: The Verdict

Perfect place for a relaxing holiday in couple or family, snorkeling and visit around away from the crowded Phi Phi “Village” around the pier
