Nui Beach is located between Patong and Nai Harn Beach in Phuket.
When you follow the road sign at the entrance road you will have three options.
The first one is to park your motorbike at a designated place and take a pick-up taxi down to the beach. The price is 200 ฿/ person and it includes the round trip (100 ฿) and access to the beach facilities (100 ฿) which is very reasonable. The ride is bumpy on a dirt dusty road that’s why they discourage motorbikes to go down with a forbidden sign for motorcycles at the entrance.
The second solution is to go down with your motorbike (yes you can), and there’s a motorcycle parking at the entrance of Nui Beach. I don’t recommend this second option as the road is dangerous and the slope is steep. The one hundred ฿ difference doesn’t worth the risk of slipping with ur motorbike or injuring yourself.
The third solution will be to walk down but like the previous solution it doesn’t worth the risk at all, plus you will have to take the heat for nearly 3 km…
The beach itself is quite nice with clear water and good swimming and snorkeling spots.
How is Nui Beach
Nui Beach beach is divided into several parts as bars, restaurants, and terrasse all with a few corners/stations specially designed for your social media shots. So throughout the day, you will assist at numerous “photoshoots” from Instagramers.
We opted for the Pirate bar which is on the left corner of the beach and seems to be the quietest, we settle up on one of their terrasse on some colorful bean bags facing the sea and ordered some fresh coconut and cocktails to bring us smoothly to lunchtime.
We had Thai dishes and even a nice cold-cut platter with pretty nice bread for a remote place like this.
If you prefer to be on the beach you can rent a bed for an additional 200 ฿, and a towel for 50 ฿.
Snorkeling gears are also available for rent, as jet ski as well.
A nice chill day away from the busy Patpong area.
Opening hours: 8 am – 7 pm
