Arrival
Rayavadee Resort Krabi …As we came by motorbike (from Bangkok) we went directly to the Rayavadee Mainland Office in Krabi where their staff was waiting for us to drive us to the pier nearby.
After the crew greeted us we boarded on a private boat and headed to the Rayavadee which is located between Phra Nang beach, Namao, and Railay Beach.
We arrived on low tide so we get off the boat on a fitted trailer attached to a tractor, we were seduced and amused by the idea.
We arrived shortly on the beach to witness a big monitor lizard escaping the front wheels of the tractor. (video below)
The Resort manager was waiting for us and greeted us with her charming English accent, while several Spectacled Langurs jumped through the branches of the trees above our head.
We then moved to the lobby where a welcome drink was waiting for us and an extensive presentation about the resort and how things work, it was nice but after our long day we just wanted to get to the room and discover on our own.
The Accomodation
The staff drive us to our two-story Deluxe Pavillion in a golf car finishing visually their briefing and we discovered the breathtaking surroundings amid limestones and tropical gardens.
The Pavillion is fully-equipped, spacious, and stylish, with an outdoor terrace.
The bedroom is on the first floor with the bathroom and the ground floor also has a toilet.
In the bathroom, you will notice that they have thought of everything to the details to make your stay as comfortable as possible, from mosquito repellent in a travel perfume container to everything you can need.
The Facilities
If you love sport, the Rayavadee offers a lot of choices at your disposal from the traditional Fitness Center to squash and Tennis court and of course an amazing swimming pool on Railay Beach’s surrounded by limestones cliffs.
The Service
The staff has attention to details and you can feel an efficient training behind. During your stay you really get the feeling to be taken care of.
When you arrive at the swimming pool they bring you lemon water and later on some fresh fruit popsicles or other creative treats varying through the days.
When you are back to your room you will find as well some homemade sweets near your bed and a refill of everything you have used.
The Food offer
They have 4 different styles of restaurants to satisfy your taste serving respectfully local, international, and fusion Cuisine
The Raya Dining, where the excellent and various choices of Breakfast are served every morning, (we didn’t dine there though)
We tried the Krua Phranang restaurant which is on Railay Beach with a nice terrasse, the service was good, not too pushy and the food was creative, local with a special touch.
On our last night there we dine at The Grotto, and it’s something not to miss when you are in Krabi.
The verdict
We stayed 3 nights there and from our arrival to our departure, we were pampered by the staff and their great service.
Definitely one of the best experiences I had in Thailand on all levels.
